4. Sleep surgery – new insights / Kirurgi inom sömnmedicinen

This course will include the new developments on research related to various surgical interventions (among the ENT surgery and obesity surgery) in sleep apnea. The target audience includes among others physicians, sleep clinic staff and researchers.
Aims: After attending this course the attendants are expected to have a general knowledge of the most common surgical procedures in surgery of OSAS in adults and children in the Nordic Countries. The controversies surrounding surgical treatment and the indications will be highlighted in view of the latest research in the field. Attendants will also be updated on some of the more exclusive surgical treatments such as tracheostomy and hypoglossal nerve stimulation.
